Weird Bestseller list in NY Times Book Review: Shit my Dad Says, by Justin Halpern, last week’s number one, has been edged out by David Limbaugh’s Crimes Against Liberty (about all the horrible things Obama has done), justifiably better known by the subtitle, “SHIT MY BROTHER SAYS.”
Good news, though, it’s an editorial mistake; the Times put this fanciful polemic in the nonfiction list instead of fiction, where it belongs.
Is David as fat as big bro Rush, I don’t know. I was going to post a photo of him here but when the page was loading, Safari crashed. (Dick Cheney, cut that out!!!) Anyway, photos of the Limbaugh bros are posted below. I am fair & balanced, you decide.
By the way, we just booked my FIRST ART SHOW. It will be at Yard Dog on South Congress Avenue, opening FRIDAY, DECEMBER 3, 2010, with beer & wine & music. If you’ve seen my art blogs here from my little black books, you will have an idea what my drawings are like. Later today I will post a few new ones. MORE DETAILS SOON.
LIVE MUSIC: UPCOMING GIGS. Basic info: Next ones are both in the same week, the HAAM benefit on Tues. Sept. 1 at Threadgill’s South and then the big music department fundraiser for the Khabele School. I’ll be playing with Jon Dee Graham, and also the Khabele All Star Band, plus the Khabele High School Jazz Ensemble, with guest appearances by members of the Khabele choir and a set by Michael Stevens. It’ll be at the Omni downtown, Thursday Sept. 23. Admission is $50 / students $20. It’s gonna be a great show.
